Over 2000 relief bags were delivered to evacuees of the Fort McMurray Wildfire, a relief effort launched through the guidance and leadership of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.
The day began with over 200 Iglesia Ni Cristo members from Edmonton, Canada travelling two hours to one of the evacuation centers in Lac La Biche. Afterwards, the members travelled thirty minutes to the White Sands Campground and delivered relief bags to the 400 evacuees currently staying there. But this wasn’t the end of their day. Before finishing the day, these 200 volunteers, some of whom had already spent the previous day packing the relief bags, made one last stop at the Boyle Arena in Boyle, Alberta. Here, they delivered goods to over 500 evacuees.
